We would like to be everywhere considering an estimated 15 percent of Australians over 20 years of age suffer from IBS to some degree. So let us help each other.
What can we do for you?
There are a number of strategies available for coping with IBS and we offer information on these strategies through our "News & Views" publication.
Meetings: Where there are sufficient members in an area that wish to get together we do encourage these members to form a sub-group to support each other in these areas.
Book List: We regularly publish a list on books that may be of interest to our members to assist with coping with the condition.
Medications: This is an area that must be discussed with your Professional Primary Health Care Provider. We publish articles explaining medications, natural products and other therapies to assist you understand and control the condition.
What can you do for yourself and others?
Firstly you can join our Association and get the benefits of membership.
You can volunteer to be a contact person for your local area, and all you need to do is to contact our secretariat to find out what part you can play in order to assist others who like yourself endure this rotten condition.
